For founders raising seed to exit

Build the patent moat your next round is missing.

SlingIP reads your specs, R&D memos, technical docs, and pitch deck and hands you a ranked inventory of patentable inventions — prior-art checked, in the language your attorney files from.

How it works

From repository to filing — three steps.

Step 01

Upload your docs

Drop in a pitch deck, system architecture diagrams, and technical docs. Your uploads stay in the workspace scoped to your engagement.

Step 02

AI surfaces inventions

We extract 5–25 candidate inventions, score them against prior art, and triage by novelty, defensibility, and business value.

Step 03

Hand your attorney the report

Your top candidates arrive prior-art checked with claim sketches — element-grounded, in the format counsel files from.

The deliverable

An Invention Value Assessment Portfolio, written in the language your attorney reads.

File a provisional on event-camera + LiDAR sensor fusion for sub-100ms obstacle detection within 45 days.

Novelty
Three of five claim elements aren’t anticipated in any single existing reference. The timestamp alignment kernel between event events and LiDAR frames within 8ms is the gap most prior art tries to close differently.

IP defensibility, quantified

A moat is only real if it stopped someone.

Through our partnership with Kudo & Associates, we're bringing their patented defensibility method to US portfolios — the method that turns “defensible IP” from a pitch-deck adjective into a number, computed monthly across every granted Japanese patent.

01

Count the attacks

Oppositions, invalidation attempts, and prior-art submissions competitors filed against a patent.

02

Weight by real money

What those attacks cost to mount, decayed for how old the technology is.

03

The number

A defensibility score grounded in the official record, not self-citation.

About the methodology

Strength scoring developed with Kudo & Associates (Tokyo), whose YKS patent-competitiveness methodology is patented (JP5273840B2) and recomputed monthly across all Japanese patents; its QK value index was co-developed with QUICK Corp., a Nikkei Group company. Third-party attack events — oppositions, invalidation trials, prior-art submissions — are cost-weighted with obsolescence decay; citation counts, including examiner citations, are excluded by design. Data from the methodology was used in a Bank of Japan working paper.

A score is a descriptive metric, not a legal or patentability opinion.

Defensibility history takes years to accrue — which is exactly why it can't be gamed. SlingIP maps the terrain around you today; as the method comes to US portfolios, yours inherits the benchmark as the record matures.

What this means
Awesome Co. has nothing on file yet — this is where its 8 candidates would land: top quartile of portfolio quality, at roughly a third of the median competitor's capital. Reaching above-median quality before you have filed is the moat investors underwrite; the next four months should harden your strongest family before you raise.

Confidentiality

Built for material you can’t afford to leak.

Patent material is the most sensitive data in a technical company. SlingIP treats it that way — with engagement-scoped access controls, no-training contracts, and a privilege-ready workflow.

01

Engagement-scoped at the database layer

Your source, specs, and decks live in a workspace scoped to your engagement. Row-level security is enforced on every query, server-side on your engagement's documents, candidates and outputs.

02

Zero training on your inventions

Your material is never used to train foundation models or to improve SlingIP for other customers. Contracts back this up in writing.

03

Structured for your counsel's review

SlingIP operates as a technical tool retained under your practitioner's direction — your counsel controls the record, and every artifact is structured for their review.

04

Audit trail on every artifact

Every disclosure, claim sketch, and prior-art citation is versioned and exportable. You own the record, and you can hand it to any outside counsel.
